When deciding on what splashback option to go with for your kitchen, there are various factors that you need to consider. The material and what look it gives your kitchen, the cost and ease of cleaning. The following include different types of splashback materials you can choose for your kitchen.

Glass Splashbacks

Glass splashbacks are the most common type of splashbacks. They are not that expensive, and cleaning and maintaining them is easy. If you are seeking to create a feeling of depth, space and light in your kitchen, this is the way to go. You will be presented with different types of glass to choose from, clear, starphire or mirrored.  Clear glass will suit strong dark colours while starphire glass will suit light and warm tones. Mirrored splashbacks are used when you have a small kitchen and want to make it look large. They open up the kitchen's space while giving a sense of light.

Window Splashbacks

Window splashbacks are another option if you want to make your kitchen appear large. Window splashbacks draw the natural outdoor light into your kitchen. However, it can be quite expensive if you will have to remove some walls. If torn between glass splashbacks and window splashbacks, glass splashbacks would be a much cheaper and practical choice. Stainless Steel Splashbacks

If you a looking for just a modern kitchen without any special features, stainless steel splashbacks are your best bet. They are easy to clean as well and very durable. Additionally, it blends well with a majority of kitchen designs.

Subway-tile Splashback

If you have a large kitchen and want it to look small, you can go with subway-tile splashbacks. They are also easy to clean and give your kitchen a sense of style. Most of these subway-tile splashbacks will come in white, but you can get coloured or textured ones.

Acrylic Splashbacks

If you are on a tight budget, acrylic splashbacks are a good option for you. They are durable and will remain clean for long. They are impact resistant compared to the glass ones but, you will have to mind getting scratches on them. Another thing you should be wary of with acrylic splashbacks is placing then near heat sources. Heat is bad for them!

Other Splashback Material Options

These include pressed metal splashbacks, timber splashbacks and marble splashbacks among others. These are also great options for your kitchen but may prove a little difficult to clean or maintain.
